KEY REPONSIBILITIES
- Drafting and Design: Use Micro station software to create detailed technical drawings, plans, and layouts based on project requirements. This includes producing 2D and 3D models, orthographic projections, sections, and elevations.
- Interpretation of Designs: Review architectural and engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications to understand project requirements and translate them into accurate and precise drawings.
- Adherence to Standards: Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations while creating drawings. Apply appropriate dimensions, annotations, and symbols to convey necessary information.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to gather information and resolve design issues. Coordinate with project teams to incorporate revisions and updates into drawings as needed.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all drawings, revisions, and associated documentation. Organize and archive drawings in a systematic manner for future reference and retrieval.
- Quality Control: Perform thorough checks of completed drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project requirements. Identify and rectify any errors or discrepancies.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance to other team members or stakeholders regarding the interpretation and use of drawings. Address queries and resolve issues related to Micro station software.
- Software Proficiency: Stay updated with the latest features and enhancements of Micro station software. Leverage advanced functionalities of the software to optimize drafting processes and improve efficiency.
- Project Coordination: Participate in project meetings and discussions to contribute insights and suggestions. Coordinate with team members to align drawing deliverables with project timelines and milestones.
- Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, new software developments, and best practices in drafting and design. Seek opportunities for professional development and enhancement of technical skills.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a Micro station Draftsman or similar role, with a strong portfolio of accurate and detailed drawings.
Saudi Aramco Experience is
mandatory
- Proficiency in using Micro station software and other CAD tools. Familiarity with other design software like AutoCAD may be beneficial.
- Sound knowledge of drafting principles, symbols, standards, and best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain precision in drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to address design issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Familiarity with construction and engineering terminology is advantageous.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or vocational training in drafting, CAD, or a related field is desirable.
